Golfer Tiger Woods’ hearing on his May DUI arrest — and his expected plea bargain as a first-time offender — is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. ET on Friday, instead of Wednesday afternoon as originally expected. Woods must be present in court on Friday.
Woods, who completed a drug treatment program in July to help manage his prescription drug usage for back pain, is expected to plead guilty to reckless driving, a less-severe charge than driving under the influence, as part of a Palm Beach County, Fla., diversion program.
In the expected diversion program, Woods would spend a year on probation and pay a $250 fine and court costs. He also must attend DUI school, perform 20 hours of community service and attend a workshop where victims of impaired drivers detail how their lives were damaged.
