The day after a devastating season-ending defeat at the hands of the Golden State Warriors, the Oklahoma City Thunder were welcomed with open arms by Thunder Nation as they landed back in Oklahoma City at Will Rogers World Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
The Thunder faithful didn’t seem to care that their beloved team squandered up a 3-1 series lead and allowed the Warriors to become just the 10th team (of 233) in NBA history to fight back from such a deficit. By beating the 67-win San Antonio Spurs in the second round and taking the defending champions to seven games, the fans flocked to the airport to show their support for a team that more than lived up to expectations and matured as a group along the way.
