Why Virginia (29-7) will win: The Cavaliers have looked very much like a No. 1 seed in three solid victories to get to the Elite Eight, and it would take a significant regression at this point to derail their first Final Four appearance since 1984. Virginia has the offensive patience and guard play to combat Syracuse’s zone, and the Cavaliers should have a big advantage on the offensive glass with forward Anthony Gill, who is playing the best basketball of his career right now and averaging 20.3 points and 7.7 rebounds in the tournament.
